I came to the Center for Workforce Development (CWD), and it was like finding a new family here in the United States. I also pursued my High School Equivalency diploma and enrolled in the Phlebotomy career training program. These programs helped me to get on the path to making my dreams of working in health care a reality.

The Monroe 2-Orleans Board of Cooperative Education selected Dr. Thomas K. Putnam, Ed.D. as district superintendent and officially appointed him to the position on June 26.

Educational Foundation Celebration

The Monroe 2-Orleans Educational Foundation is holding its annual celebration on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024. The event is held at Ridgemont Country Club and raises money to support the foundation's work of student scholarships. Tickets are $90 and include hors d'oeuvres, dinner and entertainment.
 
There is a new, special live auction item this year: seven nights at an exclusive Hawaiian resort from April 12-19, 2025. The room sleeps up to six people and the resort offers a super pool, access to golf courses, restaurants and a spa and fitness center, all located on a Hawaiian island.
