The Center for Workforce Development (CWD) at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES provides industry-aligned educational solutions to prepare you for the 21st century workforce. CWD provides quality, cost-effective educational and workforce services in partnership with other higher educational agencies, the local workforce community, and the adult learners we serve in a manner that supports excellence and equity for all learners.

Calling All High School Students

Current high school seniors who missed a chance to participate in a career and technical education program in high school or want to add more training to their portfolio can look to CWD’s evening career training programs both during the spring of their senior year and/or after graduation. Visit the Tuition Assistance page to learn about the Monroe 2-Orleans Educational Foundation providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing career training in the 2025-26 school year.

Machining Fundamentals Flyer

Transforming Raw Materials into Masterpieces

The 18-week Machining Fundamentals Program is designed for the adult learner in mind and is ideal for individuals who want to gain essential machining skills while working during the day. Attending two nights a week, students will learn about various machines, blueprint reading, industry math, and complete projects in the machining lab. The program also includes OSHA-10 certification. Manufacturing Tech Students

Students Get a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Plug Power

Plug Power hosted a facility tour for the Manufacturing Technician students. Students learned about the company's innovative hydrogen fuel cell technologies and their applications.
